Simon Pegg Will Direct His First Movie In 2018

Filmgoers know Pegg primarily for his on-screen roles, including his performance as Chief Engineer Scotty in <em>Star Trek</em> and his on-going role as computer wiz Benji in the <em>Mission: Impossible</em> movies. Fans of Edgar Wright of course know Pegg for his roles in the director's <em>Three Flavours Cornetto</em> trilogy: <em>Shaun of the Dead</em>, <em>Hot Fuzz</em> and <em>The World's End</em>.</p><p>But Pegg is and always has been much more than a performer. Pegg wrote for TV early on in his career, then hooked up with Wright to not only star in but co-write all three <em>Cornetto</em> movies. Pegg's writing credits also include the movies <em>Paul</em> and <em>Run, Fatboy, Run</em>, both of which he also starred in.
