Kevin Feige Shrugs Off Marvel Studios' Lack of Awards Success

Celebrating its 10th year, the widely popular franchise is looking to roll out their 20th film project in <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/ant-man-2/"><em>Ant-Man &amp; The Wasp</em></a> next month. But amidst a whopping $16 billion earnings in its first decade and the continued support from its fan base, the MCU still hasn't cracked the code when it comes to awards.</p><p>Aside from visual effects, sound mixing/editing, and makeup and hairstyling, the genre has almost always been snubbed by the Academy Awards. The only exception were 2008's <em>The Dark Knight</em>, in which Heath Ledger was nominated (and won) for Best Supporting Actor for his brilliant portrayal of Joker opposite Christian Bale's Batman, and most recently, <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/wolverine-3/"><em>Logan</em></a>,  which earned the James Mangold-written and directed project<a href="https://screenrant.com/logan-academy-awards-nominated-best-adapted-screenplay-oscar-wolverine/"> a nod for Best Adapted Screenplay</a>.
