Ryan Gosling Is Neil Armstrong In First Man Poster; Trailer Coming Tonight

Following the wild success of his Oscar-winning musical <em>La La Land</em>, director Damien Chazelle changes things up with his next feature film. But Chazelle <a href="https://screenrant.com/neil-armstrong-biopic-first-man-ryan-gosling-damien-chazelle/">will still keep one thing</a> that helped make <em>La La Land</em> such a hit: leading man Ryan Gosling.</p><p>In Chazelle's <em>First Man</em>, Gosling plays astronaut Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon. Josh Singer, who wrote the movie based on James R. Hansen's book, <a href="https://screenrant.com/ryan-gosling-first-man-mission-movie/">describes the film as a "<em>mission movie</em>"</a> focused on the survival aspects of Armstrong's historic Apollo 11 moonshot. Recently revealed <a href="https://screenrant.com/first-man-movie-images-ryan-gosling/"><em>First Man</em> images</a> gave us our first look at Gosling as Armstrong, as well as Claire Foy playing the astronaut's wife Janet.
