Obi-Wan Spinoff Movie Gets A Rumored Plot Synopsis

In an effort to expand the <em>Star Wars</em> movies beyond the Skywalker saga, Lucasfilm and Disney began exploring the idea of anthology stories. It proved to be a worthwhile venture when <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/star-wars-rogue-one/"><em>Rogue One: A Star Wars Story</em></a> grossed over $1 billion at the box office. With <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/han-solo/"><em>Solo: A Star Wars Story</em></a> receiving generally good (but not great) reviews, it too is poised to <a href="https://screenrant.com/solo-star-wars-story-box-office-records-memorial-day/">perform quite well at the box office</a>. They don't appear to be slowing down either and Obi-Wan appears to be next in line.</p><p>A possible solo movie for Mr. Kenobi has long been requested by fans as a way to give Ewan McGregor the chance to reprise his role from the prequels. The project looked to take a step forward when <a href="https://screenrant.com/star-wars-obi-wan-spinoff-movie/">Stephen Daldry was reportedly lining up to direct</a>, but then everything went quiet.
