The LEGO DC Super-Villains Video Game is Now Official

At the end of March, Warner Bros. announced that <a href="https://screenrant.com/incredibles-lego-video-game-trailer/"><em>LEGO The Incredibles</em> was being developed</a> for a June release date. Around the same time, rumors emerged that the next LEGO game would center around villains in the DC Universe. The number of LEGO games based on established properties has increased in the last several years, with the latest being <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/lego-marvel-super-heroes-2/"><em>Marvel Super Heroes 2</em></a><em>.</em> Games set in the universes of <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/harry-potter/">Harry Potter</a>, DC, Marvel, and <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/star-wars/">Star Wars</a>, have all lead to a great deal of success for the brand.</p><p>Fans had been predicting that a new LEGO DC game was on its way, as the last game based in the DC Universe, <em>LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham</em>, was released four years ago. <em>Super-Villains</em> will be the company's fourth DC game. The first was 2008's <em>LEGO Batman: The Video Game</em>, which became a major success by selling over 11 million copies. Two sequels followed. The second game, <em>DC Super Heroes</em>, reached beyond the world of Gotham City to include the Justice League and other popular heroes.
