The Crow Reboot Loses Star Jason Momoa & Director Corin Hardy

If that sentence sounds familiar, it's because this is far from the first time the project has lost its key creatives; this isn't even the first time that Hardy has exited the film. However, despite its well documented struggles to get off the ground, <em>The Crow</em> reboot was closer than ever to becoming a real thing in recent months. The plan was for Hardy to begin shooting the film in Budapest this summer, with <a href="https://screenrant.com/jason-momoa-crow-movie-reboot-release-date/">a Fall 2019 release date</a> in mind and Momoa starring as the murdered musician turned vengeful specter, Eric Draven.</p><p>James O'Barr's 1989 comic book <em>The Crow</em> first made the jump to the big screen in 1994 with Alex Proyas' cult hit film adaptation starring Brandon Lee (who was infamously killed by a defective blank during production). Three critically-derided sequels to Proyas' movie were released over the decade that followed, before plans were made to reboot the series from the ground-up. Filmmakers Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (<em>28 Weeks Later</em>) and F.
