Over the past 10 years, Marvel has made several origin movies to help audiences get acquainted with some of their biggest heroes. <em>Iron Man</em> kicked off a run of them in Phase 1, with Phase 2 and Phase 3 both featuring their fair share of origin stories as well. In each instance, the studio tried to do something to change it up, whether that is in the film's genre, tone, or even what types of characters are leading them.</p><p><em>Captain Marvel</em> will be their <a href="https://screenrant.com/captain-marvel-movie-origin-story/">Marvel's next origin movie</a>, and it shows audiences how Brie Larson's Carol Danvers becomes one of the MCU's most powerful heroes. They believe that she holds <a href="https://screenrant.com/captain-marvel-mcu-origin-story/">one of the most unique origin stories</a> left to be told. However, thanks to their history in making these types of movies, some may have been able to predict the film's general structure (as was the case for <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/doctor-strange/"><em>Doctor Strange</em></a>).
