A Series of Unfortunate Events season 2 gets a March 30 premiere date from Netflix, along with a first look trailer. The show, about a plucky trio of orphans who must avoid misfortune and the devious Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) at every turn, is based on the 13 books written by Lemony Snicket (the pseudonym of Daniel Handler). The first season spanned the first four books in the series, with two episodes dedicated to each book. The second season will cover books 5 through 9.
Season 2 will show the orphans meeting new friends in Duncan (Dylan Kingwell) and Isadora (Avi Lake) Quagmire, as well as foes in Carmelita Spats (Kitana Turnbull) and Esmé Squalor (Lucy Punch). Count Olaf and his minions (and disguises) also aren’t far behind, as seen in the Unfortunate Events season 2 images that show him sporting a fancy suit (“The Ersatz Elevator”) ...
