Sam Raimi is set to produce Paramount’s Crawl, a forthcoming horror movie set during a category 5 hurricane. Raimi is perhaps best known to cinema fans for his Evil Dead movies, a cult comedy-tinged horror series that later spawned the TV spinoff Ash Vs Evil Dead. The director moved into the mainstream with his trilogy of Spider-Man films starring Tobey Maguire in the title role but recent years have seen Raimi take on more work as a producer rather than a director or writer, helping to develop remakes of his own Evil Dead and horror classic Poltergeist, as well as 2016’s Don’t Breathe.
