The brand new trailer for Westworld season 2 is here, heralding the critically-acclaimed HBO show’s return in just a few weeks. Created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, Westworld is based on the 1973 movie of the same name and set in a futuristic theme park where wealthy guests are invited to sin guilt-free among the park’s collection of extremely lifelike androids, or “hosts.”
The end of season 1 saw Westworld’s hosts rise up against their oppressors in a bloody revolt, and season 2 will be a battle for control of the park – though if this trailer is anything to go by, don’t expect all-out war and endless action scenes. It looks like Westworld season 2 will be just as cerebral as season 1, with the hosts still searching for meaning in their existence, and deciding what kind of people they are going to ...
