Deadpool 2's Firefist Actor Joins Godzilla vs. Kong

<img src="https://https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Julian-Dennison-as-Firefist-in-Deadpool-2.jpg" /><p>Julian Dennison, who played Firefist in <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/deadpool-2/"><em>Deadpool 2</em></a>, has joined the cast of Legendary Pictures' <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/godzilla-vs-kong/"><strong><em>Godzilla vs. Kong</em></strong></a>. The shared universe concept may be on thin ice, but Legendary and Warner Bros. are still going ahead with the MonsterVerse, which started with Gareth Edwards' <em>Godzilla</em> in 2014. Jordan Vogt-Roberts' <em>Kong: Skull Island</em> kicked things into high gear in 2017 when it introduced Kong into the universe, while also teasing the arrival of classic monsters such as King Ghidorah, Mothra, and Rodan.</p><p>Those three memorable Toho monsters are due to make their first full appearance in 2019's <a href="https://screenrant.com/tag/godzilla-2-2/"><em>Godzilla: King of the Monsters</em></a>, directed by Michael Dougherty (<em>Krampus</em>) and starring Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, and Sally Hawkins, among others. After that, the MonsterVerse will turn its attention to the ultimate showdown film between the shared universe's titular monsters in 2020's <em>Godzilla vs. Kong</em>, which is being directed by <em>Death Note</em> helmer, Adam Wingard.
