FOX orders a pilot based on the Dennis Lehane novel Gone Baby Gone
FOX has ordered a pilot based on the Dennis Lehane novel Gone Baby Gone, according to Variety. The pilot comes to us from Fox TV and Miramax, the production company behind the 2007 film. Black Sails co-creator Robert Levine will write the script for Gone Baby Gone. The show will be a one-hour drama centered around two detectives named Patrick Kenzie, played by Casey Affleck in the film, and Angela Gennaro, played by Michelle Monaghan. The detectives are “armed with their wits, their street knowledge and an undeniable chemistry” as they work in Boston’s Dorchester borough. Levine and Lehane will executive produce the pilot.
The 2007 film Gone Baby Gone was Ben Affleck’s directorial debut, and is based on the novel from the acclaimed author of Mystic River. It is an intense look inside an ongoing investigation about the mysterious disappearance of a little girl. Two young private detectives (Casey Affleck and Michelle Monaghan) are hired to take a closer look at the case and soon discover that nothing is what it seems. Ultimately, they will have to risk everything — their relationship, their sanity, and even their lives — to find a little girl-lost. The film also stars Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby) and Academy Award nominee Ed Harris (Pollack).
