More and more, it seems like studios are confidently unleashing some of their biggest tentpoles in the first quarter of the year. Perhaps never has that been truer than with the phenomenal box office success of Marvel’s Black Panther last month. Moviegoers’ first trip to Wakanda shattered all kinds of records and looks like it may be gunning for the title of highest-grossing domestic MCU release currently held The Avengers. However, Marvel Studios wasn’t the only big winner in February.
