The ratings for the first half of Crisis on Earth-X are in and it looks as if they can’t hold a candle to last year’s Arrowverse crossover. Ever since Arrow spun out The Flash, the annual CW superhero crossover has been a steadily-escalating concept. The debut team-up in 2014 merely featured Oliver and Barry showing up on each other’s shows, but the next year kicked off Legends of Tomorrow and introduced a story that required many more heroes to join forces.
