The trailer for Netflix horror film The Open House presents a scenario where one’s neighbors can’t be trusted, and not even one’s home is safe. The Open House is just the latest original horror product to be released by the streaming giant, as Netflix continues to ramp up the pace when it comes to the arrival of new exclusive movies and shows. Fright fare has been a big focus of this effort so far, and it’s not hard to see why. The horror genre has a consistent fanbase that tends to be willing to check out just about anything, and also tends to show loyalty and offer word of mouth promotion to projects they’re impressed by.
