Confederate Creators ‘Not Actively’ Working On HBO Series

Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are not actively working on their planned – and already-controversial – HBO alternate-history series Confederate. Backlash ensued after HBO announced details of the new Benioff and Weiss series, an alternative history of America where the Confederacy remains separate from the United States, and slavery remains legal there into modern times.
